Save the Date Invites

Today I've been working on wedding plans. I'm getting married in July and quickly running out of time. We're getting married in St. Simon's Island so I decided to send out save the date invitations. Me being a girly girl I had to have glitter and wanted them to be unique. A few months ago I got the idea for them in Somerset Weddings. It's going to be a small wedding, but every time I thought I was done with them I thought of someone else to invite. I put my foot down and I am not making any more. If anyone else needs to be invited they'll just have to get the official invitation and that's it! I also made inserts that gave info about travel arrangements. For that I used a picture I found on the internet. It's a picture of a couple kissing and has a real vintage feel.

I also finished a pillow I've been working on for two days. I've had the fabric and trim for about four years. I thought I might put it on Etsy, but decided to keep it. I don't think I could get my money out of it. The fabric is silk and I don't have a clue how much the trim cost.

  1. Well, aren't you a busy girl? The pillow turned out pretty. Have I seen the fabric before?

Got paid for your chandelier today!

  2. That's a nice pillow. One of these days I'm going to teach myself to sew.

I love your "Save the Date" card! Do you spray the cards after they are finished with something to help "seal" everything?

The picture you chose of a couple kissing is great.
